Nick served 11 years as a US intelligence officer before entering private industry. As a serial entrepreneur, he applies his experiences in national security to the technology products and markets he develops and the companies he builds. Having productized technologies in IT, satellite and cybersecurity, Nick has led each of his companies to successful exits. After completing his most recent acquisition, he founded Vaxxin in order to capture the burgeoning IoT cybersecurity market. Nick holds a BA in Slavic Languages from the University of Arizona, and a MA in Telecommunications from George Washington University.

Chris has over 25 years of cybersecurity experience working for both commercial and government agencies, including senior technical positions at Mitretek and SAIC, and R&D work with NIST, Sandia National Labs and elements of the Intelligence Community. Chris has designed enterprise security solutions for DOJ, HHS, and VA, among other federal customers. He holds a BS in Computer Science from State University of New York at Stony Brook and a MS in Information Systems Management from George Mason University.

Pedram is a veteran of technical entrepreneurism, having built commercial technology products and provided technical leadership for several companies from start-up through successful exit. Pedram is adjunct faculty at the University of Maryland where he teaches coursework in the College of Advanced Engineering. He holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology, a MS in Electrical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University, and a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Maryland.

John Kavas,

John Kavas is Vaxxin’s General Counsel, providing legal guidance to Vaxxin management. More…

Additionally, John manages risk management, regulatory compliance, and intellectual property protection strategies. His background in federal contracting, information technology and M&A makes him an invaluable part of the Vaxxin senior management team. John is a graduate of Colorado State University and the University of Denver College of Law.
